RETURNING Faculty and Staff Mentors: You do not need to resubmit an online application; If you are currently a Faculty/Staff Mentor who would like to apply, email us now and let us know that you wish to return! Have there been any changes to your contact information, title/position and matching preferences since 200? If so, please include these updates in your correspondance.

                       MENTORSHIP BASICS

-1 Peer Mentor, 1 Faculty/Staff Mentor, 4-6 Mentees

- Groups matched based on shared academic and extra-curricular interests

-F/S Mentors spend 4-6 hours per month on Mentorship activities;Peer Mentors take lead in coordinating and planning group events!

The program lasts for the fall semester only in order to provide first-year students with support when they need it most...during their first few months on campus!

         FACULTY/STAFF MENTOR TO-DO LIST

Step 1: Complete the online Mentorship application.

Step 2: Contact your assigned Peer Mentor to introduce yourself and set up a plan for communicating over the summer.

Step 3: Attend a 90 minute Faculty/Staff Mentor orientation (sessions will be held July - August 2008).

Step 4: Contact your Mentorship group members after you receive your group roster in August: set up a time to meet before classes start to get to know each other and talk about expectations.
