Orientation for Transfer Students Admitted to Fall Term
Transfer students admitted for Fall Term must attend an orientation program. For most transfer students, Transfer Orientation is a 1-day program. The 1-day Transfer Orientation programs occur in May, June, and mid-August (depending on your school or college). A limited number of transfer students from community colleges within Michigan will be invited to attend a 2-day orientation program in July. Selected students will be invited to this program in late April. This program is not available to all community college transfer students. Students who are unable to attend one of the programs listed above will be required to attend the final Fall Orientation program. The Fall Orientation program is a 3-day orientation program which takes place shortly before classes begin.
The Fall Orientation program is a mixed program for transfer students and freshmen. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to attend the 1-day transfer orientation program or, if you are invited, the 2-day community college program during the summer months. |
