Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

The University of Michigan is currently following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Michigan’s guidelines concerning COVID-19.

For the latest information on campus, as well as frequently asked questions, please visit the Campus Maize & BluePrint website.

Welcome to the University of Michigan!

We look forward to working with you as you start your journey as a Michigan Wolverine. Wolverine Online Orientation is required for all new first-year and transfer, undergraduate degree-seeking students. Due to the impact of COVID-19, new undergraduate students enrolling in Spring, Summer and Fall terms will complete orientation remotely.

We realize that an online orientation program is not the same as an in-person experience. Nevertheless, we are committed to providing the best online orientation experience possible. You will have an opportunity to learn about campus, meet with an academic advisor, talk with current students and register for your first semester of classes.

Wolverine Online Orientation is a remote program required for all new undergraduate students. After you have been admitted to UM and paid the $300 EDR, you will receive an email in April/May (depending on your admit term) with complete instructions on how to complete Wolverine Online Orientation. Please be sure to set up and check your UMICH email regularly for this information!

Registration is not yet open and some details are still being planned, however you can start previewing the process of Wolverine Online Orientation on our website. Please refer to the appropriate section based on your admit type (First-Year or Transfer) and admit term (Spring term, Summer term, or Fall term). Select Incoming First-Year or Incoming Transfer and then select your term for current information and an overview of the timeline for Wolverine Online Orientation.
