Fall Admits

Congratulations on your admission for the Fall Term. Now that you have been admitted, there are several things you will need to do before coming to campus in the fall.

1. Pay the $300 enrollment deposit

This deposit guarantees your spot in the freshman class and triggers many other processes for you to become an enrolled student. If you don’t pay the enrollment deposit, or have it waived by the University, you will not be able to sign up for orientation and register for classes.

2. Get your uniqname

Your uniqname is your official University of Michigan computing account and email address.  Once the University receives your Enrollment Deposit, it takes about 2 days before you will be able to set up your uniqname, and it may take another 24-48 hours for your uniqname to officially become active.

3. Sign up for and attend orientation.

Use the navigation to the left to learn more about the orientation programs. You must have a uniqname before you can sign up for orientation.  Invitations to register for fall term orientation will be sent electronically in mid-April.  We are not able to hold/reserve seats.

4. Review the Preparing for Orientation link.

This section will help make sure that you do all the things necessary to get you ready for your orientation.
