We are delighted that you have chosen to continue your education at this University!
As a new transfer student, you are required to attend an orientation program to aid in your transition to the University of Michigan.
During orientation, you will learn about many aspects of life at the University of Michigan that may be different from your previous school. You will also meet with an academic advisor and register for classes. You cannot register for classes until you attend orientation.
Please select your term of admission from the list on the left for the steps to take after your admission and information about the orientation programs.
Unsure about your term of admission? Here’s a guide:
- Fall Term = Classes start in September
- Winter Term = Classes start in January
- Spring Term = Classes start in May
- Summer Term = Classes start in late June
ATTENTION FINAL FALL ORIENTATION STUDENTS:
If you are attending the Final Fall Orientation program on Tuesday, August 26, you must check in for orientation at Angell Hall between 8:00-8:45 a.m. Students arriving after the check-in window should go directly to the Office of New Student Programs at 1100 LSA Bldg.
Students admitted for Winter 2015, who have paid their enrollment deposits will receive orientation information via email in mid-November.
