The peer mentor (PM) role is a paid position for the fall term. Peer mentors meet regularly with their assigned mentees to help them navigate their first semester at the University of Michigan, connect with campus resources and opportunities, build relationships, and develop a sense of belonging on campus. They also plan and facilitate program events, write monthly newsletters, and assist with administrative tasks that support program operations. In this role, peer mentors help first-year students make a successful transition to college while building their own leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Peer mentors work approximately eight hours per week. Only undergraduate students at the University of Michigan will be considered. Read the full PM job description to see if this role is the right fit for you.

Applications for the fall 2026 semester are now closed, but will reopen in December for the fall 2027 semester.
