We look forward to working with you as you start your journey as a Michigan Wolverine. Orientation is required for all new first-year and transfer, undergraduate degree-seeking students.

During the orientation process, you will:

  • Learn about the academic and community expectations of a U-M student
  • Become familiar with resources available to you as a student
  • Develop an academic plan with advising staff from your school or college, and register for your first term of classes
  • Interact with orientation leaders and other incoming students
  • Engage in programming designed to help you learn more about the campus, community, and values

After you have been admitted to U-M and paid the $300 enrollment deposit, please be sure to set up and check your U-M email regularly for information.

Please refer below to the appropriate section based on your admit type (First-year or Transfer) for current orientation information.
