Spring, summer, and fall admits: Invitations to register for Go Blue Orientation will be sent to your U-M email address in late March.

How To Register

Registration for Go Blue Orientation will begin in late March (spring, summer, and fall admits) or November (winter term admits). You will not be able to register until you have received an emailed invitation from the Office of New Student Programs. Go Blue Orientation invitations will be sent to the U-M email addresses of all students who have paid their enrollment deposits. 

You can expect to receive an invitation approximately one week after your enrollment deposit becomes fully active in the University of Michigan system. Once you receive your invitation, follow the link in your email to register for Go Blue Orientation.

In preparation for Go Blue Orientation, please do the following as soon as possible:

Pay the $300 enrollment deposit

This deposit guarantees your spot in the upcoming academic term and triggers many other processes for you to become an enrolled student. If you do not pay the enrollment deposit or do not have it waived by the university, you will not be able to complete Go Blue Orientation and register for classes.

Create your uniqname

Your uniqname is your official University of Michigan computing account and email address. About two days after the university receives your enrollment deposit you will be able to set up your uniqname, and it may take another 24-48 hours for your uniqname to officially become active. Please check your university email account regularly as all university communications will be directed to it.
