Below is a typical timeline for Transfer Connections. Events vary from year to year to account for the evolving needs and interests of incoming transfer students so all program participants receive full calendars and reminders upon joining the program.

In addition to our signature program-wide events we also host a biweekly Transfer Turf event series during the fall and winter semesters open to all U-M transfer students. 

Fall Term Admits

  • May: Email invitations to apply to Transfer Connections
  • May-July: Online applications accepted on a rolling basis
  • July-August: Students are notified of their status in the program and are contacted by their transfer mentor
  • September: Transfer Connections Kickoff
  • September-December: Meetings with transfer mentors, Transfer Connections large and small group events
  • December: Transfer Connections End-of-Term Celebration
